Security Of Payment Act Payment Schedule

Under the Security Of Payment Act when a claimant serves a Payment Claim on a respondent, a respondent must either pay the Payment Claim in full or must serve a Payment Schedule on the claimant.

A Payment schedule must identify the Payment Claim to which it relates and must indicate the amount the respondent proposes to pay in response to the Payment Claim.

If the respondent proposes to pay an amount less than the amount claimed in the Payment Claim the respondent can indicate in their Payment Schedule the reasons for withholding payment.
