Under the Building & Construction Industry Security Of Payment Act 2002 Claimants are entitled to serve one Payment Claim on the Respondent on or after each Reference Date (one per month). For a Payment Claim made under the BCISPA 2002 to be valid it must have the following detail :
- correct entity details
- description of the construction work carried out and or the related goods or services provided
- calculations showing how the amount being claimed was arrived at
an endorsement stating that it is made under the Building & Construction Industry Security Of - Payment Act 2002
- it must be served strictly in accordance with the BCISPA 2002
